Auxiliary equipment for RE-501 rotary evaporator
1 Check whether the power supply is properly connected and the cooling medium tube is properly connected before starting.
2 Turn on the power of the cold source equipment, vacuum equipment, heating bath, and rotary evaporator.
3 Start the cold source equipment, let the cooling medium pass through the condenser, check the cooling medium tube for leaks; start the vacuum equipment and check the vacuum connection tube for leaks.
4 Set the temperature of the cold source equipment, set the vacuum degree (if a vacuum controller is selected); set the temperature of the heating bath and wait for the heating medium to reach its working temperature.
5 Add the distilled solution to the evaporation flask to ensure that the volume of the added solution does not exceed 2/3 of the evaporation flask; install the evaporation flask on the rotary evaporator; set the rotation speed and start the distillation.
6 After the temperature of the cooling medium, the degree of vacuum and the temperature of the heating bath reach a preset value for a period of time, the distillation conditions can be re-optimized according to the nature of the solvent, the distillation rate, and the condensation recovery rate.
7 After the distillation is completed, the rotation is stopped, the distillation flask is lifted away from the bath to heat the liquid surface, and the power of the bath is turned off. After the internal pressure is released according to the operation manual, the vacuum pump and the cold source equipment are turned off, and when the evaporation bottle is cooled to room temperature, the gas is removed. The evaporation flask and collection bottle are processed for further processing.
8 Clean the rotary evaporator and set it aside.
